Holy molly!!! This is quite simply the most outstanding structure I have ever seen modeled! Most excellent work Mr. Green!:thumbs_up::thumbs_up:
NJT takes over my branchline. 1st a custom painted switcher by JP Mikish, then a work train long hood forward.
Flash Blackman, Thats amazing. Ive been working to expand my N scale early 1900s Sierra Ry. Fleet. Painted some MDC overton kits, and RS laser kits 36' & 24' truss rod flats this week.
Took this photo a few minutes ago i love these SD50's and with Rio Grande you just have to weather them.
Great photos and work everyone. That structure is way beyond great. A little something from me. An old one but hope you like.
Holy Cow, GREAT photos here! Paul, you're right about Rio Grande. If they're not weathered, they don't look right. After all, Rio Grande goes THROUGH mountains, not 'around' them, LOL! Speaking of Rio Grande, here's a shot from me of one of my big L-105's handling a freight over Yuba Summit. And thank you for reminding me, Paul, I've got to hit this handsome baby with some WEATHERING, LOL! Tom
Tom, That is an awesome photo When you have time would love you to open a thread and give us a layout tour
A little more progress on the HO layout I am helping on. Nothing exciting, lot's of white and pink still. We added about 18" on to the end of the layout just outside the double track main to make room for some scenery for the trains to go through instead of around. Here is an early shot before the terrain was started. To take advantage of the added space, we added a siding which was a bit of a challenge due to needing a turnout that matched the 36" outer radius. With EZ track there isn't a lot of flexiblity and nothing else really matched either. I kitbashed the turnout out of an EZ#6 and some 36" radius track to end up with this. Normally the EZ #6 has a straight diverging route from the frog. Here is where the siding goes so far.

Nice pictures everyone! I am still working on my photo module, but here is a shot of this work in progress this week: my best, Jan
Again, an awesome collection of work! Jan, do you have more info on your photography module? I might do that instead of building a full layout.
John, As the kids grow the room for the layout came down (it was modular anyway so I can put it together on an ambitious weekend). But I love taking pictures of my stuff in scenery, so I built (rather I am building) a photo module, which is much like a standard module, 12" wide x 24" long but not built to connect to any modules on the ends (although I suppose it would be easy to throw some butted rail together), but it need not match scenery on either side- its a stand-alone 2' module where you only have to concentrate on scenery. So it is basically a 2' rail diorama for snapping pix, mine will be a winter scene based on a photo I had from the Vermont railway in winter. I did drop some wires through and soldered so I can have headlights on in the locos, but thats it for wiring. have a good one, Jan
colonel: I'd love to, but I'm in kind of a quandry. I use PHOTOBUCKET to both store my layout photos and edit them, but I find that I can't transfer the photos to RAILIMAGES to start an album. So frankly, I don't know what to do. I have copies of the photos in MY DOCUMENTS, of course, but they're unedited. Does Railimages have an editing mode that I can use? Because if not, I'm right back where I started. And besides, I'd have to spend an inordinate amount of time looking through the unedited photos to begin with. Right now, I'm just thoroughly confused about the whole thing. Tom
You can open a thread and post the Photobucket pictures here in the thread. You don't have to post pictures in RailImages to use them in a TB thread. Lots of TB members use other venues to store pictures and then post them here on TB. RailImages is free, though. Does that answer the question?
