Clearly, the world is getting closer together every day... we all
share so much commonality on our planet Earth. :)

My special thanks to Horst Meier, the lead organiser, for his kindness
in making my visit so very special. Just a very very special
experience for me... nice to meet all of you!

Glad I was able to make it here this week. Some excellent modeling shown here. Its a wonder more of it doesn't make it to the pages of the modeling press.

Here are a couple of pics I took today. Both I call "Hooping up orders at Willits Jct. The first pic is the head end of an eastbound.

The second is the rear of a northbound. I made the order hoops from single hairs of a nylon paintbrush.(Sometimes I think I need to get a real life).

Those shots of the German Show are really great. Both of those layouts are extremely well done. Thanks for sharing the videos as well.

There has been an excess in the amount and quality of pictures this week. And it's only Saturday night!

    Great photos!

I have a section of my layout completely textured with the rock formations and some of that section painted the basic colors that I am looking for.

The hill in the back corner I experimented with ground foam and trees.

I have achieved the look I was after for the most part save for a bit more detail and tinting with an airbrush.

Next I will ballast that track back in the corner there and all the others along these mountains

Wonderful scenery, SST! Just what is your prototype, what do you plan on running thru this beautiful landscape? A California Zephyr would be appropo...

Probably only a Big Block 502 with dual intake and two 650 Edelbrock carbs. Nothing to worry about with your Hemi.;)

    Thank you.
I am loosely modeling Southern Oregon around the Klamath Falls area but nothing real specific. I was born in KF.
I am running BNSF and some UP run-through circa about 2002. Amtrak's Coast Starlight will be the passenger train of choice here.

    Bob,
Any chance for some B&O CPL signals? After seeing the PRR above, it looks like they are do-able. The was somebody asking about them on the B&O yahoo group the other day.

    Tony,

They are the next signal bridge to be done. I will be taking the final measurements from the Baily's Wye bridge this weekend while at the Timonium show. Don't know if your in the Baltimore area, but stop by the TexNrails booth and say hello if you are.
