An old photo out of the archives, from May 2004, at the beautiful Belmont Shores N scale layout in San Pedro, CA. These are the bridges at a location on the layout that I think is named "Mount Billings". (I'm not sure of my facts, but I think this area on the layout is named after Dick Billings, a former longtime member of the club who is now living up in Seattle, I believe). Thanks to Flash Blackman for hosting me as a guest at Belmont Shores that day. The club has a web site at: http://www.socaln.com/belmont/ Enjoy the last weeks of the summer, all.
Espee covered hopper, as delivered. Espee had 60; Cotton Belt had 40. CS Models covered hopper with Gold Medal Models brass ends and roof walk. Microscale yellow decals. The black reporting marks were made with the ink jet printer because it was so hard to see the yellow on silver. Custom built hatches, too.
Flash - I love the weathering. I wish the prototype would share how they do it: From the yard in Framingham, MA
Here's another contribution for this week: The Greenlight Intermodal Contest is inspiring me to get some things done. Check it out at: http://greenlightintermodal.info/Home_Page.php No relation to Greenlight, just appreciative of their excellent efforts to broaden the knowledge base and appeal of N scale Intermodal. Have a great weekend, and next week is Labor Day!
Nothing new, just a lousy test shot. I really need to figure out exactly what to do with this spot...
Nothing new in the pics but figured I'd post up an older one. A pair of CN C44-9W's pull an auto-max frieght heading towards the mountains passing by the always busy gravel pit.

After having suffered a several month burnout.:worried: I finally finished my IM F7. SP 6344, battle weary Black Widow, July '67. I ran fiber optics for the headlight, mars light and class lights. Broke her in at the Golden Empire club here in Bakersfield.
Great pictures, everybody. Joe Gartman (SP4009), that looks like a great job on the IM SP F7. I especially like the fiber optic headlights and the weathering.
