As I understand it, the whole UP licensing fiasco was kind of swept under the run when Richard Davidson retired, David Young took over and Brenda Mainwaring (who's brainchild caused the whole affair) was promoted laterally out of her position in the legal department at UP. She was eventually exiled to Texas to become the local Vice President of Public affairs for UP.
