Rob Kluz, can you give us a update about the Bethgon Coal Porters, the Trinity (Thrall) Tri Level Auto Racks, the GP7 and GP9 diesel locomotives and maybe some infos about the future paint schemes of the SD70?
Just 4 month to go for Christmas and we need to save a lot of money! We also want to spend a lot of money!!!
Catch Hans Riddervold and press him out!

I have requested another update from AZL. The issue is that Bowser decided to outsource the printing and lettering of the first Bethgon run. In the process, they lost the cars. Yes, all of the cars. At this point, we are waiting for Bowser to find the cars or make up the run. I wish I had more information or a release date. All I can say is that I hope they are coming soon!

As for the Auto Racks, and GP7s, they are all still in the works. AZL has also started research on their next brass release. A second run of SD70s is planned. Christmas is a possibility, but we need to sell a few more locos from the first run.

Except for the coal porters, I can honestly say it is all good!

But Rob, I thought most of the SD70's already produced had sold out if nearly sold out! Does this mean the selling of UP, NS, and CP SD70's did not sell good? Were they perhaps the wrong choices for first release?

From what I have heard, or think I heard, isn't the SD75's being produced for the Santa Fe/BNSF run coming in three different paint schemes? The Old Santa Fe in red/silver Warbonnet, BNSF in red/silver Warbonnet, and the BNSF in the Heritage II paint schemes, and a slight possibility of a new BNSF SWOOSH! That is 4 paint schemes! I know I'd like at least one of each, for starters! I'm guessing for every AT&SF/BNSF SD70 that I wind up purchasing, Gordon Werner and other Santa Fe fanatics (I am an AT&SF fanatic too) will purchase two or more.

Is it possible that the first run should have been the AT&SF/BNSF paint schemes? Perhaps the AT&SF/BNSF paint schemes should have been the entire first run! Then I could read all of the disappointing posts from members wanting to know when their paint scheme was going to be available, or slipping another 3-4 months before release. I could be the one posting grand photos of my AT&SF/BNSF consists running over bridges and thru the valleys. Perhaps my photo of a mixed AT&SF/BN/BNSF consist would have won the photo contest on Z Central Station! Hmmmmmmm!!!!

OK, just a concerned, patiently waiting Z scale member waiting for his turn to purchase his SD75's. No harm done! I know you are not the one who chooses the paint schemes, just blowing off steam!!!

I look forward to the arrival of all paint schemes of the SD75 in Santa Fe Warbonnet, BNSF Warbonnet, and the BNSF Heritage II! Bonus would be the BNSF Swoosh, But I am not holding my breath. Please, no BNSF Executives. UGLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Don't worry. BNSF Executives are SD70MACs, not SD70Ms. They would require a frame 2 scale feet longer, and AZL has stated they have no intention of making them in the near future.

But if AZL produce the SD70ACe that would be ultimative!

    Tim,

You are reading WAY too much into the comment. The first run has been hugely successful. But this is a business so some goals much be realized. Of course, what I can't tell you is what the goal is. Trust me, it is all good and I can safely say we picked the right three roadnames for the first release. Also remember, we aren't talking limited runs like brass. These locos have been made in good quantity and we do plan on keeping them in stock. Yes, selling out can happen. But that won't be a bad thing either.

As for Executives, Triplix is right. They are SD70MACs not SD70Ms!

yes ... I am waiting for more modern BNSF ... I can deal without having the coal-porters as the Pacific-Northwest is all about Intermodal, grain and Woodchips ... but I definitely would like to see the Auto-racks sooner than later

    Initial Reports stated spring...............

    Rob,

The only reason I said what I said was to play off of your initial responses. Me being a Santa Fe/BNSF Nutt I had to say it. Especially since so much in Z scale is slipping these days. From what I recall, the SD's in Santa Fe and/or BNSF were suppose to hit the airwaves in the Spring time of this year! It is nearing fall and before you know it, it'll be Christmas. Those UP, NS, and CP scalers are no longer pitching ¤¤¤¤¤es cause their favorite roadname hasn't been released yet. It's just us Santa Fe/BNSF/BN GuyZ now! We have to take up the slack. :shade:

It's ok Rob, I don't have the funds right now to even buy one SD. I am scraping the barrel for this months release of the MTL Turnouts. Been waiting just as long for the MTL Turnouts as I have been waiting on the SD's. No worries!

With the turnouts I'll be able to start the groundwork for my future module of an intermodal yard. Steering towards the BNSF Alliance yard in Dallas, Texas. Nice!!!!!!

Once the yard is in tip top shape, those AT&SF/BNSF SD's will greatly be needed!

    Thanks

    Green & Cream!!!!!

The BNSF Executive dark green and cream paint scheme is the most fugliest paint scheme I have ever seen. It's the mix of the colors that make it so. Not something I would have done! Hope they fired that guy who came up with that paint scheme.

    Just my 2 cents!

I wish they would do an NP style scheme, since they keep doing ATSF, GN, and BN type schemes.

Rob Kluz, any chances of getting a C44-9W B - unit from AZL?

Sorry, but not at this time. AZL is lining up their list of projects for the next few years and no C44 Bs are on the list. Now if you can find someone willing to cut apart a C44, we do have a number of ATSF still in stock. I know Tim would love to strip the paint for you!

Of all things freelanced... that's kinda neat! The Santa Fe GP-60 A/B sets were neat, and it doesn't take much to imagine them ordering cabless Dash-9's also.

Rob, if you want to get on tim's bad side, just ask him to strip a AZL. He has said that he will never stripp another AZL again.

    Yeah But...........................

    Jurg,

I am airbrushing a light primer coat then the main coats of paint on top. No Stripping of any more Brass AZL diesel Locos for me! (and that means steam locos too) :teeth:

I have never seen a cabless Dash 9 before. Looks a bit goofy in a way! But Cool none the less!

Tim, I am sure you rather watch weed grow before you strip another AZL.

    Next Brass Release?

AZL has also started research on their next brass release. Rob[/QUOTE]

OK, Rob, so is the next brass release a steam locomotive or a diesel?

Well, technically electric. It will run off the rails with it's electric motor.
