FVM NS Heritage N Scale Pennsylvania roadname diesel, picked up two, one to run and one to keep as a collector's item...and yes, will be getting the rerun shells when they are available in about 3 months with the correct lettering space.....Gary
Paint, decals, and solution for the decals. Doesn't seem very exciting, but now I have 5 SD45's with different road numbers. First decal job I have done, except for the flames on a car model when I was about 8 years old. Good results with all the advice one can find here on Trainboard. Makes my $2 well worth it. The motivation or confidence from these results may end up with a couple roman lettered 45's.
Latest purchase came at the Ohio N Scale Weekend. Picked up a Heljan diesel servicing facility for $22.00. Always wanted one of these but could never locate one. Also got two of the B&O wagon top boxcars by Fox Valley and a bunch of Mini Metal vehicles for what seemed like blowout prices. It seems my best values have come at the N Scale Weekend events in Bedford, PA and Columbus, OH.
I finally found another Observation car for my Kato Great Norther Empire Builder collection as part of the four car A Set on eBay. I paid $100 which was list price when they were available. The week prior to my purchase someone sold two of the four cars on eBay for $120, so I think I got a pretty good deal. I now have 19 of the passenger cars plus the ABA engines. My hope was to be able to run a long train with the AB engines and a shorther train with the other A engine. Now I can... I just need to get my track running again... Michael
I purchased 100 toggle switches for controlling the tortoises that actuate my turnouts, now I need to find the time to hook them up.
I got this in the mail yesterday. It's an Atlas Southern Pacific GP9 in N scale. I saw lots of these while growing up in the San Jose area. They powered the commuter trains as well as local freights, so I figured I should get one.
Latest was the 6th car of the Lowell Smith American Freedom Train series. Last purchase before that, was an unopened set of Intermountain Alfred Packer cars.
