Better put the Garand on the credit car before it is classified as a weapon of 'mass destruction' along with your Daisy BB gun. Jim :eek:hboy:

A picture of the BMann 2-6-0 and Atlas 4-4-0 on my Pianotop loops, would not add to anyones day. But, I will rave about both units. I wasn't so happy with my first 4-4-0, buy Atlas has that in for repair, and that' more than good enough for me. The second is a champ.

Got some Atlas single sheathed 40' box cars, to go with a set of Army Transportation Corps decals I got from Modern Rails. Unfortunately, the cars I got don't match the prototype, and so the decals won't fit. Looks like Life-Like has one that's close enough. Will have to replace the roof walk on it.

My latest: Trainworx/Fox Valley 5283 double door box cars--the waffle sides are actually individually-applied photo etch pieces...

I am still trying to figure out how I managed to live a little over 39 years without one of these babies.

I purchased too much stuff. My budget was two hundred dollars for this month cause I'm also saving for a new car. I got two Atlas C&O C630 Alco's, Kato yellow nose SF F7 AB, Kato Western Pacific F7 AB. And a bunch of Micro trains freight cars. Obviously I went over budget. Its hard to save when you have so much temptations.

John, I love my 4-4-0. With some creative photography it can look much bigger. Jim

Right Place, Right Time and Have The CASH

Friend of mine got out of N-Scale. Let's see:
    An Athearn Challenger & Big-Boy, several Kato Mike's, 2 each Con-Cor 2-10-2's (w/decoders) a box with about 25-30 KD/MTL cars (in boxes) in it.

Wife had FIT when she saw what I had bought and for how much. But my friend showed her what the going rate for all this stuff was, and then how much I paid for all of it. Came out to about 1/3 of the value of everything. She asked if he had any more to sell at that rate!!!

Jim, I love it and I haven't even run it yet! lol I'm going to get a couple of passenger cars for it to pull for those times I want to back date my Central Valley layout. I bought the Q version because the paint job on it is pretty close to the Bachmann Ten Wheeler I have. I think that once I change the 4-6-0 to a small tender, they'll have a nice family look together.

It is a Panavise 300 base with a Panavise Jr. 203 head. It is built well for what I want it for. I would not try to use this head to do any clamping of, say, pieces of metal that I want to mill down or anything like that, but I have often found myself wishing I had something I could use to hold pieces I am working on while I glue on a part or reinstall pieces or solder a connection.

I have a standard size bench vise for the rougher tasks, like the already mentioned milling with power tools or large files.
