Wow! That is a great looking Church. The stonework texture is outstanding.
Nice work! Nice kit!
That is beautiful!!
Building a freight house for my branchline, just following the instructions.
Quite easy to assembly. Still have to finish the roof and needs some light weathering.
Das ist sehr gut! I like the paint job! Who makes that kit?
Thank you very much.
MTL offered this kit in 2015, I think, Ray constructed this item.
Really nice work Steffan. Nice smooth finish on all surfaces and great attention to detail.
Thank you all.
Needs still some signs, but otherwise finished:
That's a good lookin' building!
Very nice work Steffen, I have not seen anyone build that kit yet.
I don't know where I was when all these MTL kits came out. I missed the excellent saw mill, cannery and now this. I did build all of the MTL waterfront kits and then some but I don't recall seeing this one. Excellent job. The custom decals are a nice touch, too. It looks like a busy freight shed. Thanks for sharing it. Jim
Looks really good!
If anyone is interested, I bought the kits here, and there are some items still available.
It is a dealer from Austria, but ships international too.

As some of you are aware I've been dabbling in all sorts of other things during Covid lockdown ( Gauge 1, 1/32nd WW1 military modelling and WW2 pillboxes and defence fortifications with our Brooklyn) and with still no shows in sight Z has taken a back seat. But I have been feeling a bit guilty as some of the designers have gone out of their way to create some 3D printed bodies to help push British Z on a bit further so I'm having a spell on these
I showed the primer red Patriot a while back but have pushed on a bit with both of them now
The LMS crimson lake one will become 45519 'Lady Godiva'. This was a local engine to Sheffield, my home town, and in this picture taken by my dad it is seen at Dore and Totley station (railfan heaven back in the day) in June 1960. The lamps shows it is a limited stop express. The York -Bristol working and it would have taken over from an ex LNER loco at Sheffield Midland station
waiting for lining and lettering
These are printed in FUD (sorry but I still stick to the original names for the various polymers) but at some stage i will re-order them in brass
Seen with my old litho sided LMS 57ft coaches
working from home, as many of use are, I have had a very productive day doing the yellow and black lining and LMS lettering on this one today. Should have ordered the etched brass nameplates when I ordered the lining but I will send in an order to Fox transfers over the weekend.
next post will be the BR green one
This is a Wine box layout I am working on for a friend of mine. The box is 21 inches wide about 13 inches deep and maybe 6 inches tall.
I cut the front out of the box and put hinges on it. Hinged the lid and made a drawer for the controller and storage. The Loco he has is a U.P. Mikado so I was limited on the curves. I had a Southern Mikado to use for my testing setup.
I am almost done with it. Need to add handles to the box and put in a backdrop.
I like it!!
That vid reminds me of tilting the board to move the ball thru a maze
Kevin that steamer looks really good! What paint did you use to paint the red spokes in the drivers? You would never know they were red in the first place.
Tamiya XF85 'Rubber Black' acrylic. I use it a lot instead of pure black as it is slightly grey and a bit more subtle. I've started to work my way through all the BR103 chassis under my British diesels as the red really looks bad and unrealistic
BR green 'Patriot' painted and lined. Going to do it as the new bulld loco 45551 'Unknown Warrior' which was progressing nicely until they had to chop and axle to get a driving wheel back off
This was it a while back at Barrow Hill roundhouse. The boiler, firebox and smokebox were fitted for a while before it moved location for fianl assembly work
The red one has been done as 45519 'Lady Godiva' and has now been lined out
Seen on the pullmans on Republic Steel
Unknown warrior on the same rake
Can't wait to see real 45551 out on the main line when it is finished
Very nice! Great paint jobs. Are these plastic or brass?
When I was a kid I had some toy British locomotives. I don't remember where we got them or who made them, but I bet my dad still has them.
