This is a really nice model. Is this the HO version? Is it motorized? Decoder? This would be a real treat to see it running on a layout. I really enjoy doing MOW stuff myself. I was wanting to install a decoder and lights in one of the walthers motorized cranes and build a gondola to go with it.
Update from my Livestock Module, I've just finished one of Rob Ray's MTL Kit and there are very smooth to assemble. I've ordered 5 more to get my Auction a bit bigger. First picture is a bit fuzzy they will be placed near the bigger Auction House.
Jurg, your cattle pen looks great. All those piceces are going to make a nice module. ED, Threre are lots of NS fans in the northeast. They are going to sell well.
Nice job on the caboose and the tank car. I think this your best caboose you have come out with. Well, at least until the next one.
It's actually my small end module, that I have been working on for a while now. I am trying to get it ready for the NTS this summer. I need some new rolling stock that nobody else has yet too, so I am working on some other cars too!
Very nice Robert! It's always a pleasure to see your work and I appreciate also that you find time again to spend here on Trainboard.
I want to build another GN caboose in red. I have had the decals done for a couple years, but no time to build yet. I have an NYC 19000 series under construction right now, as I have given all my NYS cabooses away, and don't have one for myself anymore. -Robert
Rob, this is a well done and beautiful caboose, a lot of details was done for the wire hand rails, I know those take forever to install and be painted. plus you had put 2 colors, and the one on the roof follows the curvature, wow! Haaaa! if only I had bought an Alps when they were cheap.:bear-arghh: Because of this I'm putting aside all projects that has white lettering on them. I'm not happy with my end results using the white decal paper. Ben
It's still not too late to buy an Alps. There is a guy in New Zealand I think, (somewhere down under) who is selling the new MD5500 for around $1000 shipped to the US. He has inks too. If I was you, I would buy one, and about $2000 worth of white ink ribbons. That should last you about 5 to 10 years for $3000. That's only $300-600 a year, depending on how much you release. It's tough to cough up the cash at first, but when you need a decal with a white wet noodle, you will be up for the task! Here is the link: http://www.alps-supplies.com/ -Robert
