Question Who can help me find one of these water tenders

    Now we are talking! I tried to simulate what I saw behind the other UP steam trains. The two water tenders behind the regular tender. The boxcar with "steam engine parts" behind with the baggage car behind that.

    Looks good in the sun too.

    Overall I'm happy. I could of shortened the couplers another 1/8" to get them closer.
    I will be renumbering them 809 and 814.

    Too bad that UP Mike won't like this at all ;)

    I did leave out the part where I had to grind down the ends between the stirrups on the end of each car to let the coupler box clear and swing side to side. Only about a 1/16", but it is lead alloy. Do it outside!

    Dave, excellent hack! Those side frames make the difference, think I'll redo mine. I have the body mounts still, may change over, not sure.

    You might want to get rid if the 'Lionel' tho. It's not a toy anymore. ;)

    The Lionel will come off and the "UPP 809/814" will go on.

    Wow David that looks Sweet I sure hope it makes it around Donner it would look Sick coming out of the Snowshed :thumbs_up:
