Who'd have guessed this one? This is a CSX train on the departure track from Hamlet (N.C.) yard: Harold
3 of many Appalachian & Ohio units stored on the West Virginia central in belington, WV until the A&O takes over operations of the CSX Cowen Sub next week. The UP SD50's are NREX and A&O-owned (WAMX). The BAR stuff is on lease.
I seen this one on the ICE in Savanna IL can some one tell me what it is /where is this from? Or is this an ICE cousin.
Here's a link to the DM&E webpage: http://www.dmerail.com/ From what I can see, they're cousins with the ICE. Hope that helps you out.
Quite a few "rent-a-wreck" engines in those consists- including that badly faded-out BNSF engine. That looks like a paint job done by Tyco I like the Cherokee Yard shot- when I lived in Ft. Smith, I'd run up to Tulsa once a month to 1. stock up on my record collection, 2. buy model RR stuff, and 3. shoot BN power at Cherokee Yard. Back then (1980-1981), I had no problems getting in & out of the yard. Not sure I'd try it now..... [ March 21, 2005, 09:59 PM: Message edited by: friscobob ]
