Wil, another killer set of slides. This one below listed as "west of Denver" seems to be east slope of the Moffat, but not as far west as Rollins where the hills are much higher. At first I thought it was East Portal, but the Giant's Ladder is not visible, and the mountains are too low. The only place left is Pinecliffe, CO. This seems to be taken from the side of CO-72, and you can /just/ see the house track on the far side of 8074 between the lead truck and step well. Thoughts?

I kinda figured it was somewhere in that area. It's a bit hard to pin down with only that bit of hillside visible, but the terrain lines up pretty well with the Pinecliffe area. Only thing I'm having a hard time finding is the set of poles that cross the track like that.

I too think this is at Cliff. If you look just behind the B40 and just above the sliver of nose on the GP60 unit behind it, there maybe a evidence of the road that leads to the overpass at Cliff, so it would appear this power is just east of the overpass. I also am inclined to think this image was taken from a dirt road that goes down to the tracks at this location.

I think this engine is facing east, and the photographer was on the north side of the tracks. The poles and wires I think lead to the shed near CO-72.
39°55'59.3"N 105°25'53.7"W. Again, that house track should narrow down the search from the entire siding.
