Ztrack Magazine is excited to announce 'Ztrack Intermodal'. This exciting new line is created exclusively for Ztrack by Tim Buehring of TNT. Our first release is 48' open Thrall well cars. This is a replica of a Thrall stand alone well car built in 1991. With a growing need for larger capacity well cars, Thrall came out with this single version modeled after their popular Lo-Pac II.

The car are etched brass and come full assembled, painted and lettered. The cars ride on MTL trucks and are equipped with MTL couplers. They are highly detailed and can accommodate containers from MTL, Marklin and Make My Model.

Our first release is it ZT-01-001. It is a TTX version and carries roadnumber DTTX 54136. The price per car is $52.50. Shipping and handling is extra. To order online through our safe, secure site, please visit:

Ztrack and TNT are planning more releases of this popular car. Stay tuned for more announcements!

Not to worry folks. Containers are coming. Future runs of these cars will come with containers that are lettered. We have already contacted Make My Model who will be suppling the containers for us. I won't go into too many details, but Tim has a bunch of great ideas for these. We thought an open car would be a good way to start. This was done since many of you already have containers from Marklin, MMM and MTL. Tim's design accomodates them all!

    Budgets

What?! Did John actually admit to having a budget after all the grief he gives me over my limited budget? ;-)

Luckily, i knew these were coming and set money aside for them. Ordered mine almost as soon as the ordering page was up. ;-)

Will go back for more later!

Thanks for this wonderful model, Tim. I know you have been working on it for a long time and I'm sure you are as pleased with the results as we are.

Randy, But I use the same strategy Congress uses on its budget. When they go overbudget, they just make a new budget. :D Actually, I would like to have Jurgs budget.

    The Old Fuss!

History: I joined the Yahoo Z_Scale group in Feb of 2004. I think it was twice in 2004 and twice in 2005 that a Fuss over a topic took place! This Fuss tried to surface several times in 2006, but moderators were quick to quell the uprising!

The Old Fuss would get very heated at times. I mean, people would literally post hateful messages. Lots of Z scalers resigned their membership over the postings. Many more stood solid in their beliefs!

    What was this Old Fuss?

Well, it was a little of this and that, but what it all boiled down to was Who and What!

The who being US or European and the what being Micro-Trains or Marklin!

US Trains vs European Trains (World) and Marklin vs MTL. This Fuss would go on for days and weeks.

Marklin supporters stated that Micro-Trains could not support Z across the world if Marklin stopped making it. The Micro-Trains supporters stated Yes they could for Z was growing big in the US and that Marklin's version of US trains were so un-prototypical it was just sick!

Well, since most of this Old Fuss, lots of people have gotten into Z scale! The old saying, "Can't We All Just Get Along!" is holding its ground and getting stronger by the day. This is good. AZL/SZL is growing, Z Track is growing and spreading the Z Word! Superbly built and scenic modules are bringing newcomers into Z scale along with all the Z camaraderie. It seems that every month a manufacturer is helping Z scale grow by offering some item of interest in 1:220 scale. It's a good time to be in Z scale!

Why am I writing this? Hmmmm, it's just something Jurg said that has me puzzled? Why would he be selling almost all of his Marklin Z scale? After careful thinking I could only come up with one conclusion! To buy more Z scale in US Prototypicality!

Hmmmmm, maybe there was something to that Old Fuss! :teeth:

    --------------------------

One thing I'd like to say! Most all of you guyZ and galZ have been to my website and have seen that I sell decals for Marklin, MTL, Freudenreich Feinwerktecnik, and MakeMyModel containers. What you don't know is that I send twice, to three times, the number of container decals to Europe as I send to Z scalers here in the North American continent! :eek:mg: Hmmmmmmmm!

    Gets a person thinking!

    --------------------------

Ok Jurg, what kind of Marklin do you plan on parting with as some might be tempting for me to acquire! :shade:

    Hobo Tim

BTW: If you have plain painted MTL containers, and would like to cover them with prototypical decals, click on the TNT'z logo below!

Well, I have to admit that half of my sales are to Europe too, as there are lots of North American prototype modelers there.

I think it's the same here, as there are a group of ETE Z Scalers out here in the SF Bay Area, and they really like all the European models. I have a sizable collection of European steam, as I like all steam, but those are just collections of stuff to look at and run on the Noch and Marklin BYOZ layouts we display.

For my own personal favorite, I picked the last 20 years of the Northern Pacific, since they ran all their steam, short of the retired 4-4-0's, and all their diesel.

Most of my customers in Europe choose a favorite railroad, like Milwaukee Road, BNSF, UP, and SP.

Modern folks are getting some good stuff. Yet again there is temptation! This can only be good for Z. The more the better!

For the most part... Yes they do choose western roadnames? I don't know why? Maybe it's a cowboy mindset thing? :D
