Everything normal "Fubar." It's the fool's that buy this stuff that drives a false market and value. Gold Diggers everywhere I turn.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/LIONEL-TRAI...-IN-THE-USA-/131589463190?hash=item1ea357dc96 Scout. Loco only (let's sell the tender for more PROFIT!). Missing rods, crossheads, pistons, classification lights (snapped off), FILTHY, pristine not worth the $22.94 current bid WITH the tender. Opinion, as always.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Lionel-Trai...heel-Tender-/141715333493?hash=item20fee46175 Repainted, relettered, lettering flaking off, some attempt to clean up the rust..fail. Pickup mounts rusted (and somewhat cleaned), slots in screw heads rusted. MAYBE worth the asking with an original 726 AND original shell. But, that's just an opinion.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/LIONEL-TRAI...N-ARMY-CAMO-/171889956626?hash=item2805709712 ??????????????????????????
http://www.ebay.com/itm/O-Lionel-Tr...COLLECTIBLE-/221859824763?hash=item33a7e0447b Yeah..toolbox chipped....as is all the paint you can see through the dirt. Can't clean it, as it will be worth less if folks can see the actual condition. Rare in N&W, but condition, condition, condition. Both stirrup steps gone off toolbox end, roof ladder gone, rusty (see the knuckle pivot pin on caboose end and wheels and screws). Bend "cast" brakewheel staff. As-is, ten bucks delivered. Opinion. Dave
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Lionel-Trai...ly-Post-War-/181831116763?hash=item2a55faa7db Not sure how thy tested it and it runs well with one crosshead guide missing. If the piston actually stayed in the cylinders, must have jerked and bumped right along. Some PO decided silver paint and a brush he or she got for their birthday was a good thing to use on the air tank, smokebox door, drivers, cowcatcher. Pickups shot, one worn clean through, possible spring damage. Paint that's there is scratched pretty badly. Coil coupler shoe on tender ripped clean off. Looks like two wires to rollers not connected and jammed up into the shell. Fifteen delivered. Gonna cost you more than that to fix it. NOT a BIN of 110 plus 10 to ship it. Opinion. Dave
To avoid the huge amount of stuff overpriced and underconditioned all on green indoor/outdoor carpeting, I went to "advanced search" and excluded: toytrainsbargins Makes searching a little less disconcerting this time around.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/LIONEL-Post...Not-Running-/291556991455?hash=item43e226a1df Pig in a poke. $45 BIN, you get a trolley pole, lights that work, a repaired crack, and a motor that just hums. "light works, but engine only hums, wheels are locked." Kind of thing you'd find at a show for five bucks? Opinion. Dave
http://www.ebay.com/itm/LIONEL-TRAI...IGINAL-RUNS-/262026198608?hash=item3d01fa7e50 Actually, at 8 bids up to 99 for the pair of 2343's, not bad. Almost guarantee some snipers will bump that much higher in the next 2 days and 21 hours. Dave
To bad that one unit has those heavy roof scratches. But if not, it might have been priced at some insane BIN.
This is "good" condition? Looks like the dog tried to eat it: http://www.ebay.com/itm/LIONEL-TRAI...d-Condition-/171923976238?hash=item280777b02e
Another one found buried in a barn? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Lionel-Trai...1960s-stuff-/141760937506?hash=item21019c3e22
