I looked again and again...blew the photos up...cannot see a runaround at the turntable area..unless the far switch is inside the mountains. John Allen gave up on this design as primary fairly quickly, incorporating part of it into the larger layout. Still....a grand fifty? Dave
What is overlooked about that John Allen plan is it was not built to be a model railroad by itself. He originally constructed it not only to incorporate into the later, famous G&D, but for use as a photo prop. He was actively taking photos for model RR manufacturers advertising at that time.
Not sure what you mean about a "connector track to allow "loop" for visitors." The basic layout is a twice-around oval. The lower-level turntable and the upper-level siding extensions do appear to be dead-ends. No, it's not mine. I was responding to the comment by BoxcabE50 that the trackplan was odd. I recognized it as the G&D 1.0, which later became the core of the subsequent versions of the layout. Agreed that the asking price is ambitious. The only things of value to me would be the MRC powerpacks.
Imagineering the hidden portions of the track plan are difficult at best. Maybe there is a full loop hidden in the mountain. First glance appeared point to point. Still, took less than half (or so the camera angle suggests) for the railroad, fiddle yard and turntable extra. Imagine what he could have done with the space..even hiding the fiddle yard under the rest.
I missed buying these when they first came out...and they were expensive, but $60 for a bus? http://www.ebay.com/itm/WOT-Wheels-...eyhound-Lines-P1683Motor-Coach-/161755228473?
Seems to me the MSRP was about half that amount? There is supposed to a re-run coming in the future. Might be best to wait?
MSRP was $25, with under $20 being relatively easy to find. I would wait (ok, I am waiting - on my watch list for when WoT releases them again)
For everyone who's been waiting for a locomotive that "runs fast and smooth in forward, slow and steady in reverse" comes this basket case for only $24.99: http://www.ebay.com/itm/N-Scale-Bac...005&rk=1&rkt=6&sd=321790375831&rt=nc#viTabs_0
The paint is EX+, we grade this on condition as C-7. You should have no trouble finding another sideframe, with all the DOA Botchman stuff out there. Couplers? Who needs couplers on an engine that probably won't pull itself? Rear ladders? We don't need ladders. It has original PRC designed horns on the roof. Quit picking on this gem! Opinion. Dave

Limited edition Kato bullet train...$1500 a CAR?!! http://www.ebay.com/itm/Taiwan-Shin...885?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item1c5412840d
If you are going to claim that your layout cost over $50k but you only want $8k (but the turntable is the crappy Atlas one, all the switches are Atlas with the switch machine mounted next to them, and the cars are the cheapest junk out there), include better pictures. http://www.ebay.com/itm/FABULOUS-N-...716?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2edad81c44
$1500 for a board with cork on it (oh, and two old Bachmann steam engine and some cars) does not a layout make. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Large-N-Scale-Layout-/281745418865?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item419955ea71
