No that is what the VA said. And Texas has that. I think i would like Texas better than Florida! Since i am in the middle of the state, I shouldn't have much winds from Hurricanes coming on-shore, Just the rain.

Will do! About a week and a half till we hit the trail. Will be there by the second and should be up with internet by the week after that. My Daughter was stationed there in 98. Our first granddaughter was born there. Have friends there still. See you later, Dan

Depends upon where you are. On the east side, Ark-La-Tex area, there is humidity!

Having lived in 9 states, including Texas and Florida, I recommend Texas. Don't plan on doing a lot of work outside during the Summer, so get used to a lot of AC (humidity and temperature controlled.)

When i was at Killeen before we would start towards the swimming pool around 10 in the morning! Stay all day there and sit in the shade when not in the pool They had a snack bar there and we could have sodas coffee or water. Small snacks ect. I would bet that it is something like that at our new park. With the new home we are having a better a/c unit too. It seem to cool better than the other rv we had. I will be busy in the winter months with the layout and all summer i can swim, fish and just have a good time! Or thats the plan.....

Been in all the lower 48, Mexico and Canada, Puerto rico and the virgin islands along with The Bermudas Most favorite place was Montana. Second was Maine. Worst was LA, California and New York city. Upper New York Wasn't to bad and i like Vermont and New hampshire too. To many places that i have lived to list here. Have a hard time roaming the roads anymore. I have a hard time breathing anymore. Thats why the move. Don't think i will move again, But never say never.

Very wise words. I can think of so many things which have happened, around the world, where someone swore it might never happen, was impossible, etc. And then it did happen.

So true. Never know what can happen. Bad storm like a tornado or something like that could force us to move Quickly. Fire, Who knows. Anything is possible. Even a terrorist or some kind of bombing. As close as we are to Fort Hood, anything IS possible. There is lakes and what could be considered as forest land around them. If we have to go hiding maybe.

Keep it between the ditches and under the limit. Bring some rain with you - we need it bad here in Central Texas. Look forward to meeting you. John, Chief Engineer of the Ding Dong to Flat Railway

I saw some rain on the map app we have. You could get rain tomorrow. It's heading west, and we are going the other direction. Maybe I could lasso a few and drag them back for another shower....hehe

I didn't make it to Fort Stockton. About 45 minites from here. A cording to the map we should be there tomorrow afternoon. Seems we did the I-10 at US route 190 in a few hours and it's just down the road from Fort Stockton. So maybe we will be there by evening. Later,Dan
