Armand, Good Point. It is easier and more efficient to "sink" current (common +) rather than "source" current (common -) with digital IC's.
My Signal Here is a combo photo of three shots of my signal. Green, Yellow and Red. Due to my camera being outdated, or it's operator does not know how to properly set it, the color of the LEDs are not as bright and colorful as they are in person!!!!! Hobo Tim
First, there are 2 new versions, with PCB screw Connector design. Also 1 Diode 1N4001-7 to protect against wrong connection. I also try to convert to jpg's to have a format ready to etch. Not easy to upload other formats. You can reduce the color deep to 2 in your image software. And for printing, necessary to reduce exactly to 160x100mm, if not the connectors (and the chip) will never fit. I can also convert to .emf and .hpgl for milling. Or on wish send Gerber and Excellon drill files. But both boards are not yet tested for the moment ! Search Signal PCB board Ztrack, Version 2 Mixed Search Signal PCB board Ztrack and other, Version 2
Tim, I would if I could, but for the moment crazy business, just jumping from meeting to meeting, and even dont arrive to finish what I am just making on my workbench. So, everything not on PC will take time.
Hi Tim, I catched today the PCB Board from the first version, still need some connectors that are on the way. This were made by a German (professional) Ebay etcher "mmetoolshop" TO RECOMMEND ! No hand-punched holes, even the holes for fixation are directly drilled on the machine with my Excellon files. And you can even read my text very easy on the soldering side. If I have time and everything together, I will put some testing track.
Cool! Please let us know what your test results are!!! Looking forward to reading it. Thanks! Hobo Tim
All "Z" orders were sent out on the 21st and 24th. This included the Double Track Girder bridge and the D-Type signals. .
I got the signals a couple days ago, and today we were looking at them, Kim, Chris and myself, and it looks like the .032" hypodermic stainless tubing I have will work perfectly with them. I am happy the bridge is on it way, as i need it for my module. Now what I need next is the Tank Car Loading platform. Any chance of seeing that one in Z?
I finally found some time to install and light my first signal. Its manual, but will see what Tim, Robert, and Armand do with their signals, and maybe I do signal detection.
Looks Good John!!! John, that is a nice photo!!!! I am waiting on Armands first assembly/testing of his schematic board!!! I have high hopes for this project!!!!! Gonna look like Christmas all year long with all those signal lights!!!!! Hobo Tim
Hi Tim, For the moment is 6 for the money, and 1 for the show. And for the show, I am on making silicon molds for metal melting, old coin machines are my second? third ??? life. But next week I should arrive, test array with small video also to see how it function (or not )
...1 for the show. Today I had time to solder the first search signal board. In the next days I will put up small testing track to see it functioning.
