more pictures, more pictures, more pictures, pleaaaasssseeeee!!!! I cant wait until I got this beauty in my hand. Regards Jürg
Jurg, I recommend TWO hands. You'll need both of them for this thing. I can't wait to read others' reactions when they begin seeing this thing close up. It is just phenomenal. I put on my magnifier the other night to take a closer look at mine, and I have STILL not finished discovering details. I hope to get a picture or two of my own up by tomorrow. No promises, but I'll try.
Here is my first shot: I'm no photographer, and my camera is obsolete, but I hope you enjoy! More to come soon!
those are just gorgeous! very tempting. but i had a thought ... who is going to be the first to weather their AC-12? imagine putting the stains to a $1500 engine. you want to get it right the first time. dave f.
I wonder who will be the first to get in trouble with the wife when she finds out it cost $1500. The guy who works at LHS thought I was crazy for paying $600 for a engine. Its a good thing I am not into steam, because I woud be twide as crazy. I guess you have to be more crazy to be a steamer. AJin did a great job on the cabforward.
Rob and Kez, thank you very much for the nice pictures. I will post also some when I get mine. Regards Jürg
I agree with Jurg. When I get my SECOND one, then I'll do some weathering. #4280 will remain as spotless as possible for a long time to come.....it's a piece of artwork as much as it is a model train, to me anyway. Jurg, I can't wait to hear what you have to say when you get her in your hands!
I'll tell you what I think! I think you should tell us how many cars it pulls since you have one! Tell the truth too! -Robert
Does it count that I got in trouble last night when I asked my wife to help me pack up AC12s for customers? Also, note the coupler on the front. These babies where made to double head! I have not had a chance to test pulling power, but I hope to do so soon. Rob
Correct. The front set are powered. The rear set are free-wheeling. It amazes me how free the 2nd set are, even with the drivers. Rob
We tested the pulling power today. I have found that the locomotive can haul between 25 - 30 cars. At 30, we did have slippage on some of our 220mm curves, though it pulled great on the straight sections. The 30 cars looked great behind the locomotive! Rob
Hello Friends, it's time to show "my" Cab Forward. It's a beauty and worth every single Dollar! Sorry the pictures are not so sharp. I will post more photos on sunday. Regards Jürg
You guys are killing me already! That locomotive is just too cool! I hope it sells out real fast, as I cannot resist the temptation for much longer! -Robert
