Wow. You've really gone the extra step. Much more sophisticated than 99% of us! :)

I took one of the UP time tables as a reference and went from there. I have a booklet guide that I have been working on that gives a history of the layout, what is going on now, diagrams of the layout, and then to top it off I put the time table in it and the SSI. I have also added forms that will be used and current rosters of all the equipment. Kind of as a guide for anyone who wants to join in running I would give them this guide several days in advance to read through and then upon arrival a separate copy of the time table so that they can keep from getting lost. A definite work in progress. I also have all my specs in it so as to keep track of exaclty what I was doing when I wired it up. The time table starts on page 15 of my guide.

One thing I did see, am wondering about. Maybe add one more whistle signal? You have the one for releasing brakes, but I did not see another for setting them? Or did I miss it?

I can add that one. It is one that I don't see get used much.

I would like to get a hold of a time table for the BNSF for the Albuquerque area. I need so more mile posts and then I need to get some maps and do a little measuring to get so more mileage added in for other parts.

I'd offer to help, if I could. But don't have anything BNSF from that area. :(

Now that I am thinking scenery. I have a fun little idea. I have a small lift out section in my far back corner. When I was at Disneyland last December I got a neat little idea. I found a planes fire and rescue play set. So I am thinking of building a small mountain.

I won't be able to use all the parts but I have two choices. If I go with forced perspective I would use the small planes. If I go regular size then I would use the larger helicopter and the vehicles. One thing I don't have here is a fire tower. I did find one but it is in N scale. It is only 4" tall.

I am thinking of using cardboard strips and plaster cloth to keep it light. I think I might need to build an under frame as well. How does foam board and hot glue work together?

Here is the corner it will go in.

If you build the mountain with a slight slope at the rear, and put the N scale tower on the slope with part of the bottom hidden, it could look like a fire tower off in the distance??? JMS

Like the UR stuff, seen many of them. Those UR train crews are a great bunch of people.

Here is a pic of the fire tower I found. Again it is N scale.

    Hey Kevin,

If you send me your Word document, I can (probably) convert it to a PDF for you, which you could post up here (and elsewhere).

PM me if you are interested. Takes about 10 seconds, unless I have to correct some formatting...

Thanks to TwinDad for the help. Here is a PDF of the file of my timetable and special system instructions for those who would like it.

Time for an update. Started building mountain and getting things going. A couple weeks ago. Put down most of the cork for the round house. The station I have in place here I don't really care for. It just doesn't seem right. I have a new modern kit to build and try out. [IMG]
Today I started building the carts for my mobile staging yard. I even got the family involved. Then it started to rain. At least I have quite a bit done. I hope to finish them this week. Each cart is 4 feet in length and 1 foot deep. Enough space for a 7 track staging yard. Total of three carts being built.

With a lumber pile like that, and the whole family busy, the neighbors must wonder what you're constructing.

My wife and daughter do a better job at sanding than I do. Glad I got them involved.
