Here's another 'rare' item that I actually posted months ago. Guess what, it still hasn't sold! http://www.ebay.com/itm/N-GAUGE-WIK...030016?pt=Model_RR_Trains&hash=item53febc2a40
Old Peco scenic backdrops, but they're 'rare'. But are they worth $33 each? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Peco-of-Eng...106095?pt=Model_RR_Trains&hash=item19cbf6696f http://www.ebay.com/itm/Peco-of-Eng...106316?pt=Model_RR_Trains&hash=item19cbf66a4c http://www.ebay.com/itm/Peco-of-Eng...984953?pt=Model_RR_Trains&hash=item53eaa543f9
Actually, I believe I saw these offered retail a few years back for just about this price and was goshfounded. I think I may have one or two or these that I don't need. I might oughta list them- at less than this price.
Well, it did not go the first time so the seller relisted it. http://www.ebay.com/itm/29107026493...8.l2661&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT#ht_22wt_902 Shipping is only $4.32
I give up. What is it? Looks like a mix of parts from an electric drill, a pencil sharpener and an N scale flat car.
Take a look at this. Not only does he want a NEW price for a loco missing the rear truck sideframes, it is also a HO scale SD24 in a N scale U25Bs clothing. PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE LISTING! Ryan http://www.ebay.com/itm/Atlas-N-447...885941?pt=Model_RR_Trains&hash=item2c651bdd35
I was looking for any description of the item, as far as condition, whether it runs, etc. Am not seeing anything. Just what seems to be an incorrect bunch of smoke.
Here's one that really gets my cynical side going. http://www.ebay.com/itm/86-Hi-Cub-B...569846?pt=Model_RR_Trains&hash=item35d1c44df6 Even though it's an item that I am actively looking for, when I checked out the cost of shipping it, I nearly choked. I am seriously tempted to email the seller and tell him to get his head examined. Either they are a complete novice to shipping items from Ebay, or they are just a swindler looking for me to be their sucker, but for $11.95 to ship one car, they likely won't get a bid from me.
Based on the limited information that eBay now reveals (to protect profits -- I mean, the trading community) I would say that the seller is no novice in using shipping as a profit center. Several dings from buyers on shipping costs and a DSL of 4.7. The "standard shipping" could be an envelope with a postage stamp or two. Another one for my Ignore List.
