Ken I was looking for the results from today May 10, 2007 as of 3:00 P.M. EST. Did you try it since this time - 3:00 P.M. EST today???
Owen- Not today. Last evening. Have you made an "adjustment?" May try some later. Need time to do some scanning first. Boxcab E50
Not five minutes ago, same phto as above and got this: (Same old s**t) Warning: move_uploaded_file(/tmp/php2B2KIm) [function.move-uploaded-file]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/frisco/public_html/railimages/image-inc.php on line 48 Warning: move_uploaded_file() [function.move-uploaded-file]: Unable to move '/tmp/php2B2KIm' to '/home/frisco/public_html/railimages/uploads/3148/ANcabooses.jpg' in /home/frisco/public_html/railimages/image-inc.php on line 48 RailImages.com Message Unable to move file [/tmp/php2B2KIm] [/home/frisco/public_html/railimages/uploads/3148/ANcabooses.jpg] I do not know what "failed to open stream" means, but believe that is the key. The MS "screens" light up, indicating transmission of data, but the Zone Alarm bar graphs don't appear, which indicate the data is not going anywhere, I think.
Owen- Just completed two failed attempts as follows: The same five files each try, total size 505kb. Warning: move_uploaded_file(/tmp/phpS8N3fs) [function.move-uploaded-file]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/frisco/public_html/railimages/image-inc.php on line 48 Warning: move_uploaded_file() [function.move-uploaded-file]: Unable to move '/tmp/phpS8N3fs' to '/home/frisco/public_html/railimages/uploads/1367/scanf01.jpg' in /home/frisco/public_html/railimages/image-inc.php on line 48 Unable to move file [/tmp/phpS8N3fs] [/home/frisco/public_html/railimages/uploads/1367/scanf01.jpg] Warning: move_uploaded_file(/tmp/phpsK7RtV) [function.move-uploaded-file]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/frisco/public_html/railimages/image-inc.php on line 48 Warning: move_uploaded_file() [function.move-uploaded-file]: Unable to move '/tmp/phpsK7RtV' to '/home/frisco/public_html/railimages/uploads/1367/scanf01.jpg' in /home/frisco/public_html/railimages/image-inc.php on line 48 Unable to move file [/tmp/phpsK7RtV] [/home/frisco/public_html/railimages/uploads/1367/scanf01.jpg]
Greg, Ken and others continuing to experience the upload issue Charlie and I have exhausted all of the solutions offered to us by both the developers and support specialists. We checked to make sure that changes were not made to the either the software, software configuration settings, or to server settings, based on March 12, 2007 when the issue was first reported. So we are left with one possible cause which centers on possible timeouts. I asked Charlie to pose the possibility of timeouts to the developers; we are awaiting a definitive answer from them. We are not relinquishing or abandoning ownership of the problem. We recognize we have an issue, however as stated earlier we have already exhausted all of the possible solutions offered to date. The simple matter is that the error message you are seeing displayed states that the file is not in the location the software expects to find it to finalize the upload into railimages. In other words the image file you are attempting to load never arrived at the server. We simply do not have a ready answer at our fingertips. Let’s look at the facts very few members are reporting the problem, in most cases it is a random occurrence, most members experiencing the problem are on dial up or a possible slow DSL connection, and everyone reporting the problem reported it during the same timeframe, so it is easy to conclude that something changed at the server end of the connection. We need to continue to look at the server and software on our end but we also now need to look at other possibilities outside of the server, trainboard and railimages. Some of you experiencing the problem may want to consider talking to your ISP, telecommunications carrier and also investigate any changes which may have occurred at your end, as we have nothing to offer as a solution at this time. As Charlie mentioned earlier in a post it could be a while until we find the root cause so what ever you can offer can only help in the investigation and possible solution. On behalf of Charlie and the rest of the Trainboard staff thank you for your patience and assistance.
Could someone be uploading file sizes larger than permitted by their ISP? I know I had that problem many years ago, when I was on dial-up. I could download very large files, but not upload them after I had modified them.
I just uploaded 20 photo's, all within the correct size limits. Two of the 2o had download errors and had to be repeated. I've noticed this problem for some time now, but work around this software issue. It is a troublesome problem as all my photo's have explanations along with the photo. Stay cool and run steam.....
It seems that about the same time this problem started showing up, we lost the ability to select more than one catagory to post photos to. You have to load the same photo more than once if you want it in more than one catagory.
Good point Russ, I've also noticed this problem. Previously we could place one photo in three places at one time. Now, we have to load the same photo multiple times to place it in different categories. Stay cool and run steam.....
We are checking everything we can think of guys. Eventually, this problem will go away but until we can find whatever it is, we'll just have to be patient. If we had the answer, we would fix it. Charlie
I just replicated this error. I don't know if the information received will help but Owen and I will be talking about it. Charlie
One yes, three NO Well, I reduced the problem photo to 237 KB and it uploaded, so I decided to try three more. That failed. The photos were 1036x720 - 481 KB, 1064x623 - 434 KB, and 1000x668 - 294 KB. Got the following message: Warning: move_uploaded_file(/tmp/phpjDIzBV) [function.move-uploaded-file]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/frisco/public_html/railimages/image-inc.php on line 48 Warning: move_uploaded_file() [function.move-uploaded-file]: Unable to move '/tmp/phpjDIzBV' to '/home/frisco/public_html/railimages/uploads/3148/AN715-small.jpg' in /home/frisco/public_html/railimages/image-inc.php on line 48 RailImages.com Message Unable to move file [/tmp/phpjDIzBV] [/home/frisco/public_html/railimages/uploads/3148/AN715-small.jpg] Note: the single photo went directly to my album, giving no opportunity to add or modify the description. I had to edit it. This is another definite change to the program!
Was successful in individually uploading the first two on the above photos, 481 KB and 434 KB, but when I tried to upload the third, 1000x668 - 294 KB, got this: Warning: move_uploaded_file(/tmp/phpXYVJVU) [function.move-uploaded-file]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/frisco/public_html/railimages/image-inc.php on line 48 Warning: move_uploaded_file() [function.move-uploaded-file]: Unable to move '/tmp/phpXYVJVU' to '/home/frisco/public_html/railimages/uploads/3148/yellowAN720-1-2-small.jpg' in /home/frisco/public_html/railimages/image-inc.php on line 48 RailImages.com Message Unable to move file [/tmp/phpXYVJVU] [/home/frisco/public_html/railimages/uploads/3148/yellowAN720-1-2-small.jpg] BTW, I called my ISP yesterday and am in the process of getting off dialup and onto DSL. Aside from this problem, tired of waiting 20 minutes to connect to a working server. Hoping this will solve the problem for me.
Thought I'd "sneak up" on it late in the evening and try to upload the same 294 KB photo. No luck, got this: Warning: move_uploaded_file(/tmp/phpryFMcV) [function.move-uploaded-file]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/frisco/public_html/railimages/image-inc.php on line 48 Warning: move_uploaded_file() [function.move-uploaded-file]: Unable to move '/tmp/phpryFMcV' to '/home/frisco/public_html/railimages/uploads/3148/yellowAN720-1-2-small.jpg' in /home/frisco/public_html/railimages/image-inc.php on line 48 RailImages.com Message Unable to move file [/tmp/phpryFMcV] [/home/frisco/public_html/railimages/uploads/3148/yellowAN720-1-2-small.jpg]
I used to have the upload problem described when on dialup and trying to upload more than 4-5 pictures at once. I just learned to do things in small batches. I usually compress photo's down to under 75mb per photo though. I don't upload any realy large single photos. Does anybody know the reasoning for the loss of the multiple category post option? It seems a waste of valuable space and time to have to reload the same information over and over again to different categories when it would link the same photo before. It was also nice that if you edited the orignal, the others changed also. Now, if I upload a file to a category, say structures, and also want it in one of my albums, I need to load a second copy and it will still have the automatic copy clogging up the main gallery. I had trimmed my main images down to just the things that didn't really fit anywhere else. It kind of defeats the purpose of having the sub albums to clean up the main album.
