I'm only going to be there the afternoon of Tuesday, June 24th, and all day Wednesday, June 25th. I'm out early on Thursday, June 25, to Colorado Springs. Let's use this thread to arrange meetings. Already OCD Engineer (Jerry DeBene and family) and I are hoping to meet for lunch on the 25th. Perhaps John Sing and I can met for dinner on the 24th, and lunch with Jerry on the 25th. I'd suggest that meetings occur at the Galt, which has a number of restaurants and bars. I've never been to Louisville, so that will make meetings easier. I'm happy to arrange a meeting for dinner on the 24th, and lunch and dinner on the 25th. After that, I'm on to Colorado Springs. But, you have to respond here so I know what to do. When are you TBers coming in, and are you interested?

I will be arriving Wednesday morning and want to meet everyone on here if possible.Two of the people that I want to meet most is Pete and Jerry just because I have admired the work from you guys here on Trainboard for awhile. Hey Pete, is there a place at the Galt House that we could all get together Wednesday night for like a meet and greet with Trainboard members and their families?Maybe like an empty conference room or a bar?Just a suggestion but if not I do want to meet you before you leave.

I'll be there from Wednesday on. I live about 100 miles west of Louisville, not sure how many nights I'll be staying. Look forward to meeting many of you! Chad
I'm still on the fence as to if I'm coming. I have vacation scheduled to be off for that period, but if I need to be around to help out my friendly neighborhood tourist railroad, I will have to pass. Too much going on at once to decide right now. I would really like to come and visit and see what the convention has to offer.
There has to be a concierge desk at the Galt. Or, at least, a front desk. Let's just leave information there for each other. I'd suggest a dinner at one of the hotel's restaurants at about 7PM on the 24th (could be later), and a lunch on the 25th at the same restaurant, also probably late (1:30 PM or so). Then drinks at the hotel bar at 6 PM or so. Let's keep it real simple. Meeting each other is the object, not exploring Louisville's finest spots for carousing, although that could happen with the younger members! I'm just the big, linebacker-type-guy.
It does work, except I'm a trogdolyte. Call my cell when I'm in Louisville, and it will ring on my kitchen counter in Albuquerque. Jeanne will answer and say she has no idea of how to reach me. Worse Josephine will answer, and ask, "ME-OW?"
I live less than 5 miles from the Galt House so anytime is good for me. NSFan14 will probably be with me.
I will be across the river at Motel 6 Monday and Tuesday night and at the Galt Wednesday through Sunday. I will have my Imperial Sugar modules in the NTRAK layout at the show but will be off running trains and shopping a lot so don't count on meeting me there.
I'll be there for the show over the weekend, will post booth location when I have it. the Galt hotel has two towers, the fancy one where you will check in, and the second tower, Which has the rooms for the regular people, across the street and is connected by a skywalk with the bar and deli inside. the second tower has a concierge desk in the lobby. there are several eateries from formal to deli between the two. also, across from the convention center, just to the south side(Hyatt/Marriot) is a streetwalk area with several eateries, clubs and bars. the galt is on the same street, two blocks north of the C.C.
I may be there but I dunno. The week of the convention is the weekend of Thomas The Tank at KRM I belive. But I may be able to work something out.
I am arriving on Wednesday sometime - the late afternoon, I think - and leave Sunday afternoon. While I don't participate here that much, I'd love to meet some of you guys! David
Hi, all, Pete, I will arrive Louisville at 937pm on Tues 6/24, so Pete Nolan, seems I won't be in town soon enough for dinner for Tues evening. My departure is in the evening on Sun 6/29. I will be staying at the Galt. I'm looking forward to meeting some of you-all there.
