Paul, I think I saw that the packets wouldn't be available until Wednesday afternoon. What about those going on the layout tours?
Registration will be on Wednesday when the Convention officially begins. We offer stuff on Monday & Tuesday because some folks like to make a week of it. If you're coming early you can get the stuff you need for the pre-events when you load the bus, etc. Most of the information will be on the website to download if you need it earlier than Wednesday.
There will be a HOSPITALITY room at the Galt House open Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 8:00pm till 12:00am(midnight). Maybe have a get-together/meet & greet some night?
The Denver Bunch..... Dave Porter, Mel Lynd, and I will arrive on Tuesday afternoon with a truck (big truck)full of modules. The rest of the Denver gang should be arriving both Tuesday and Wednesday by air. DaveP and RichL are the only other Trainboard members, unless JWidmar decides to come along. I am personally looking forward to putting some more names to faces that we did not get to meet at the Denver show in '06. Meanwhile I'm back to work on my modules....the clock is ticking. Ray

I just registered for the convention and am very excited about attending. Having two daughters in college, it didn't look like the funds would be available for me to go. Luckily, I convinced the wife that we needed to get away for a few days and the extra fare items helped seal the deal along with the expected tax rebate. Hey, isn't that what it's for? To help stimulate the ecoNomy! Louisville, here we come. See you guys there.
I am still there only Wednesday, as I have to be in Colorado Springs early Friday morning for business, and can't escape it.
Well, I'll be arriving on Tues Night and have signed up to do a clinic on Thurs if anyone is interested. I am really looking forward to putting faces to posts.
Ditto looking forward to being there and putting names and faces together. I'll be arriving Tues night as well, I'll be staying at the Galt. Anybody know whether there will be a lobby NTrak setup for 'all night hotel running' (as there was in Chantilly in 2004) or is the only NTrak layouts to run on at the convention hall?
As I speak, I am making a list of TB members attending the convention. I have no reason to believe it is accurate. I am listing the TB name first and the home town next. The list is in MS Word format. (I might add, 1997 MS Word format.) If you would like a copy of this file, please send me a PM with your email addy in it. If you are a lurking member or just want be sure you name is on (or off?) the list, send me a PM for that, too. I have made this list as best as I can from the three or four TB threads that are relevant to the Louisville Derby City Express convention. Hope this works out. Hope I haven't overloaded myself. (BTW, I had this posted on another thread, so you are not seeing double.)
I am also going to put 'OC Engineer JD' on my name tag to help with identification. And I believe Paul said they will try and have different 'stickers' of the different forums to put on your name tag to identify which forums you are a member of. Looking forward to seeing old friends, and making new ones too!
Hey, this just in. I'm going to TRY to get the finished SP demo unit out to John Sing for the Louisville convention, along with one of the Whitcomb 65-ton demonstrators. If you want to see what the finished one looks like in person, track down John. I've encouraged him to show and run them as he sees fit, as long as it is DC!
No chance. But I do think it's important for people to actually see these, and see them run, because...DARN! they are SMALL!
