Sorry but it's a little late this weekend. To start off WFF here is a pic from Jim Wiggins rail images album I'm off to decal a loco so will post later in the day.
The first shot is the two finished ex UP sw1200's now repainted in MOPAC. The next two shots were taken of the Rock Island unit train yes I need more RI hoppers. I really need to buy some more Delaware Valley RI hoppers they are sweet looking units.
Cool stuff! Here is alittle hill that the road may be just a little too good. If I put any of my CMW or Road Champion vehicles on this road they roll down the hill as if it were orange Hot Wheels track. So to avoid this I have to use cars with wheels that do not roll. I think this one needs a canvas sunroof, red and blue stripe, and the #53 on the hood and doors
A week ago I started my GMD-1 nscale project. This involved using a cut down LL Gp-20 chassis and an old Concor Sw1500. The unit has been painted and is ready for decaling and some detail parts. Nothing says out west Canadian railroading better then a GMD 1 and a grain car.
Heres some pics of the 3 boards I have been working on and scenicing this week for Sweethome Chicago. Jon
Sten and Colonel, great paint jobs. Colonel, I like the variation paint jobs. Is that Jenks blue? Are they weathered yet? I have been away from TB for the weekend laboring on the rocks...staining Plaster of Paris rocks, that is. The goal is to get this Salado Creek water area done. I won't make it by Monday, but what the heck! Here are before and after shots of the Salado Creek area. "Before" is just the river bed cut out; "after" is with the plaster in place. The large blue structure at the bottom of the top picture is my stomach. Before: After: - Here is the effect of a Texas mill pond I am looking for in the water. Orphie Neathery's deer hunting module. See the deer blind? See Bambi? The hunter in the deer blind is asleep! - I don't think I will get that look, but maybe close. Mine will be a little more confined. BTW, the water in Orphie's module is about 1-2 mm deep. That is all. The depth effect is done with the airbrushing. [ August 21, 2005, 09:39 AM: Message edited by: sapacif ]
Remember, that's OO, not HO. The cars will look larger than their scale size because they're oversize compared to the track. They're 1/76th, not 1/87th. The cars are probably under 60 scale feet.
Hi folks, Here's another MOW kitchen/something car from my stack of wood car kits: Have a great week!
John: Try bees wax under the wheels. It is sold at doll house places, I know. All us doll house guys do that all the time!
Great shots everyone!! Leann and I decided to make some more trees, her children even helped out. We made 28 total. That is all the floral wire and hair spray we had. Here ya go. And a blast from the past.LOL Adios Wyatt
