Overshoe: Beautiful car and a very nice job. Did you assemble it recently? Can we see the other cars?
Thanks much! That one was assembled last week. The one coupled to it I did the week before.. I posted its picture in last week's thread. Other than a flat, that's as far as I've gotten through the kit pile... I will post as they get done. I tend to do things in spurts, but I'm expecting a box car to be done by next week.
Remember, that's OO, not HO. The cars will look larger than their scale size because they're oversize compared to the track. They're 1/76th, not 1/87th. The cars are probably under 60 scale feet. </font>[/QUOTE]I will measure one tomorrow to see how long they are. But they do look very impressive 'in the flesh'
Kinda new here, but I thought I would contribute. L&N GP-9 that I painted, detailed, and weathered. L&N caboose I am 'bashing. My favorite modeling tool. Beautiful work everyone! [ August 22, 2005, 12:01 AM: Message edited by: Old Reliable ]
Almost finished a modeling project this weekend.....be done and have photos soon.....but this weekend I had off and took my girlfriend and her girls to the Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum to get a dose of STEAM! It's a very short ride, but very nice, and the equipment is top notch! Here was Saturdays power. A 1952 Lima Baldwin Hamilton 2-8-0, #610.
Another true steam sweetheart here is #4501. Boy would it be nice to see her back under steam! Alot of work needed on this locomotive, but, she is under semi-cover, so hopifully she'll stay in good condition till that day comes.
Sorry I am late. Here are a few shots of my NTRAK modules I had set up in San Antonio a few weeks ago. Finally got the slides back.
Jerry, do you think that TVRM would let you qualify to steam with them? You live close enough to Chattanooga and are already licensed. It would be wonderful to have another TB member who is a steam engineer, especially one who takes such great photos....!
