Now this shot kinda spoils the illusion... kind of a bridge to nowhere...
This is one end of the layout where it leads off to some future expansion.

I always admire your modeling skills in the Walthers catalog, magazines, and the internet. Keep up the great modeling.
    Mike,
Are your NYSW units the CSX owned ones or the regular ones?

I finally got a shot of the RS1 to upload. This one is numbered 722 for the birthdate of my niece. It is also named "Little Peanut." This is the nick name given her before she was born.

Thanks for the input on another thread regarding long hood or short hood forward. Since it is my dad's railroad he wants to run short hood forward.

Here are a couple of Walthers Gondolas that installed grab irons on. I originally threw out the grab irons that came with the car. I did not realize I needed to install them. They were in a package with some hook and horn couplers and I missed them. I had to buy some grab irons. The cars were previously weathered so I had to paint and weather the grab irons to blend in.

    Just a Suggestion

    Tom,

If you only run Covered Hoppers for your Grain Service, you might want to change the old timey Box Car grain chute coming out of the side of your Grain Elevator and add a more modern chute for Covered Hopper use!!!

In my opinion, Walther's should have made this kit in a two chute option depending on what era of Grain Rollingstock you are using. Side Load box cars or Top Load covered hoppers. Big Difference!

Just my 2 cents, but I like the houses. I think they tie in better with the other structures in the area.
