Wolfgang, I also like the houses best as background. Seems the most natural fit for surrounding area.
Wolfgang The houses do like nice, but I notice your first shot has a DMIR engine in it. The green, rocky background reminds me of St. Paul. A beautiful place to take pictures along the waterfront of the Mississippi River. I believe there are at least 4 major railroads that see action throught there too with lots of traffic. Hardly a dull moment. Being that you are modeling a harbor district through here the green rock cliffs may be appropriate. Just an idea.
