Diesel Sanding Tower Here is a small project that has been on my workbench for quite some time. Only today did I take these photos of it. Finally etched some details where it NOW actually looks like a Sanding Tower. I still have a few more details to attach before painting. There is a possibility that I could make alot of these, but for now, this is the only one I have! Enjoy the photos! These were the best 4 photos I took. Will post completion photos in a week or two. This is a Spare Time Project! Hobo Tim
if you do decide to make some extras to sell i'd VERY much like to have one. i've been hoping for something like this in z scale for a while.
I think Tim is jumping head first already, Don. The only way for us to get more is to buy more of his models. I know I miss some of his releases, because I sure could use one of grain elevators now.Tim, I know you been telling us about it, but its still amazing when we see it for the first time.
Believe me I have tried to buy some things, but "never get an answer" to my emails. I have been able to buy a few things, but certainly 100 of something is over my budget.
Rebuilt my trestle deck. It had a hump in it, the rails were warped, and it gave grief at train shows while running steam, so I fixed it. Tore off the rails and deck, adjusted bent's height with a straight edge, made new deck, laid new rails and guard rails, and added the water barrels. Now it's level.
Rob, The trestle rework was a gutsy thing to do. As the show gets closer you get pretty daring, like fishing in the swamps with Crocks.... It is looking good. Kim
