Next step is some architectural planning and some house building. Ill use Ben's cool "Dorothy's Farmhouse" as one off the main peaces. Along with some off my own creations.
Your rockwork is just FANTASTIC! When Jeff told me how much work you put into it i could not believe it, but the results are more than worth it. Excellent job Torsja!
One more building for the diorama. This time a small Gas station made from styrene but it's not painted yet. And as you can see the Dorothy Farmhouse is also slowly coming along with some paint.
Holly cow! The mountain work is just speechless. Do you use a photo as a reference to do your work? Ben
Torsja, What can I say that is some true artistry, from sculpting to detailing. I have been working on a small round layout for years, I am still thinking about it. Kim
Some more static grass and stuff have been added. Along with some more road work and ballast for the train tracks.
And some more work at the dirt road and some new ballast for the tracks. I think this is the 5th time or so off test ballast. But perhaps this one is a keeper, what do you think?
Torsja, I think both of the track ballast looks good. The early pictures look like an old short line, and the later look more like a main line. Both look very good. I too am curious about that dirt road, I have been trying and trying to get a dirt look and I am never satisfied with my efforts.
A aluminium garage has made it's way to the diorama. It's made out off styrene with aluminium roofing, painted with Chrome spray and then dull coat. The garage is an old Norwegian prototype that was isolated for the winter time. It was actually made by an airplane company in the late 50 to early 60th. And I'm playing around with some tree building and other stuff to see what will work on the diorama in the end.
