I've bin fiddling around with some tree constructions the last days. It's not easy to get them good in this small scale I think. I tried to make some Spruces (I think they are called in the US) and some Birch trees. I now think maybe I have come up with a method that's gone have to work for me so far at least.
Your diorama is really coming to life! It looks like people really live there now! I love the way Dorothy's house came out too!
Really amazing! You have more details on your layout than many HO scale layouts, I think! When I show the pictures of your work to fellow modellers around here, they hardly believe that it is Z zcale!
Very realistic.Do you have any pictures of putting your trees together;they came out really well.I would like to make some mysel;well at least try. Thanks.
Torsja, you have definetely outdone your best work with this little masterpiece!! You are very talented.
Torsja very nice, you have motivated me to get off my butt after a long hiatus! I am gonna start building a small 2 by 4 N diorama tomorrow. Very nice, you can be very proud of this.
Thanks for all the nice comment guys. I have now started to glue down much off the small details like fences, more grass and the small structures that's going on the diorama. PS: I'll try to take some new photos on some off the building techniques I use on trees some time later on if I can remember to do so. -
Torsja, According to my calculations you did all this in 18 days. Amazing work and in such a short time span.
torjsa, the tufts of weeds (sillflower?) make a huge difference. and your road looks like a traveled concrete road. good work. very nice module. you do it so effortlessly. dave f.
So far I would say more like 8-9 evenings, on and off. There have been many days in between that I have not done anything at all other than just looking at it and thinking about what to do next.
Hi Torsia Everything is fine, except one thing. I can't understand, why Do You use the cheep paper road. You should make a road of plaster in antik, dusty style and engrave some stones.
OKAY then Larry, I thought I save some time with that paper road but off course I'll just do as you tell me to do. The cement truck has just left and now the contractor is waiting for it to dry to check out the results off their work.
AB FAB! Thanks for sharing what you have done.It is awesome. My interest in the trees I suppose is reflected in questions by those particapating in this thread on how you achieved the results, one looks at the pictures you have posted and what has been captured is so "real". Done in a short time, using so many techniques in the small world of Z. Roads , ballast , rock , road crossings, fences , an unbelievably simple track plan that when the camera zooms in breaks down into small dioramas. One looks at a layout and some times what one will see visualy does not "flow" when photographed ; yours has! ... as for trees............ '?????????? :tb-cool:
