Me! Me! Oh wait. It would be fun to put a small camera in the cupola and run it through your layout. I look forward to seeing your video once you post it!
Well, after several attempts and cutting up several 'employees', LOL, I was finally able to get one in the jump seat! Here he is, enjoying the view, and the ride.
Nice touch on the wipers, and that last shot really shows off the railings well. Well done, Master Trackwalker, well done...
Really nice work (as usual) Jerry, and it brings back fond memories of Franklin Canyon. It looks like you have a nice technique for painting the railings and step edges. Any secret, or just a steady hand? I've got a boat load of containers that need their door hardware similarly treated. Cheers, Gary
A steady hand helps, but even more......a GOOD paint brush. For the steps I just came in at an angle and drop the brush on the edge of the step and run it across, put on more paint, go to the next. If it looks too wide, after it dries you can come back with the red and tidy it up. Same for the railings. If you 'get out of the lines' touch up with the base color.
Last, but not least, I installed BLMA air hoses. I like the way this photo turned out, because the flash hit the marker light just right, and it looks like it is illuminated.
Aside from a little weathering and maybe some brake rigging, I think this really is the end. Alright......5 more to go! (Later, LOL, much later.)
HOLY COW!!!! I'm not a ATSF fan, but this caboose is just fantastic. I'll have to build one of these, even if it just sits on a siding. Thanks for sharing you work Jerry. MIKE.P
