It is fun! And the yard has a slight hump in the middle that makes it even more interesting.

Very cool videos and nice smooth operation. Thanks for sharing those. Seeing those trains moving is great incentive to keep moving forward with construction.

Yesterday morning I spent a bit of time cleaning the axle points and pickup hubs on the tender of the 11, which made it run much better!!

Thanks! It is my goal, and should be a goal of any wanting realistic and reliable running, that things can crawl along nice and slow with minimal hiccups! With these switches, I have the task and luxury of being able to fine tune them for it. Flangeways and points and frogs are all radily adjustable, with patience. It seems easier to me than the prefabbed ones I used by ME and Shinohara and Atlas, which could be tuned some, with more work. IMHO.

Am glad you enjoy the railroad! I enjoy yours as well, and it's home in an RV inspired me to find that trailer for mine! Thanks!

Ahhhhhhhhhh...I remember way back then. We did talk about how much more room you have then my RV. I am still jealous !!!

IF we had owned this place way back then...the plan was to use a 40' high cubed cargo container !!!! LOL

And if said container, containing said model railroad, was then shipped, via (full size) railroad, and that railroad was modelled on the model railroad inside the container...

We'd have recursive model railroading: The Mobius Road!

Wow; that's heavy, man! It's, like, mind-blowing, dude!

A mobius road! Now that is an idea! So, George has to find an N scale RV similar to his, and I have to find a trailer house.....hmmmmm.

Did some testing and fine tuning tonight, here's a vid,

The search has been ongoing for an N scale RV for years. Perfect spot for it at 'THE Homstead' !!!!

The 501 is down with a warped axle or wheel. Since it is down, some other work may go on......

The axle seems to be straight. Is the wheel center plastic? If so, I might suspect damage from heat, due to short during a derailment.

Upon close exam after removing and replacing it, yes, the wheel center is plastic. And melted. Since it is down on the workshop, I think it will get a bit of finish work done....
