I should have a small machinists square but, haven't found it yet. Micro Mark has them as well as that gluing jig. I would also like a pair of 1-2-3 blocks. Precision steel blocks 1" thick and 2"x3". They are great for squaring things. I like the two open corners for building models. You can have a wall hanging out through them to square up a piece away from the edge. "German Engineering" Ah yes I have machined many Walter's metal cutting tools and components for giant SULZER V12 engines. This old Dutchman was very good at that. Richard
I was trying to come up with a way to make the Kato part numbers on the bottom of Unitrack, to stand out more you can read them. With that weird color mix they use in the plastic, they are impossible to read on the more weird pieces of track.
It's 2022, you would think there would be better ways to make these kits. I think they intentionally like making our lives hell. HA. I remember trying to build a structure as a 10 or 11 year old, get all the walls together, then put the roof on and it's all cockeyed. lol There aren't enough hours in the day for this hobby - I am constantly thinking about it. This brewery is massive. I mean it takes up like an N scale city block. I'm looking forward to getting more white in the bricks when it's complete. Really happy with the colors and the roof's weathering too. All of the square edges came together really well and I used a paper back to weigh it down into the base when I glued it. I think on all my future structures I'm going to use those corner joints to brace things more. This video was instrumental for me:

Save your $$$ on all them fancy metal jigs and magnets. Just 'borrow' some of your kids...or grandkids...LEGOS !! Make 2 "L" shaped 'walls' about 2" high by 'XX' long. Sandwich the 2 walls to be glued between the Lego 'walls and us painters tape to hold the walls to the legos ! Those LEGOS make some darned perfect 90 degree corners...JMHO... If your 'walls' stick to the LEGOS...you are using to much glue !!
I also have Micro Sol and Micro Set as I know they are good quality products. But ................. have a look at this .. There is a possibly better product out there for setting decals. The rest of his Youtube channel has some very informative product reviews.
Now that sounds very interesting. I've seen those used for a lot of different things. I don't have any kids here but the WalFarts is only a mile away.
I have those wooden laundry clips so I tried making one. I think I'll just stick to the little plastic and metal clips I already have.

Sanding is the best way to do anything in N Scale so you do not actually take off too much material. A file, even a fine tooth file can take too much material off if you are not really careful.
Truss Bridge and Fotomat work. Weathering on the bridge. Really shiny out of the box. I am not looking forward to the Fotomat letters. May try a .3mm Sharpie oil paint marker in red.
