1/220 Tug Boat http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10116913 the possibility to improved it with detail is there, since it is not very expensive. Only $9.50 USD Ben
Good find Ben, very usable. I also got some samples from Joe D'Amato of his resin tugs in Z, that look almost exactly like that tug, and easy to convert to sardine boats with masts and rigging.
I had no problem opening upon just a "click:. Curiosity here - is failure to open because your ISP will not talk to a Japanese site?? ...don
Weird! Are you able to see this pic from the site? (Yes I know, no cross link allowed, but it is only for the purpose of this issue) Ben
Ben, Thanks for the photo! Was able to get to the web site now. Weird! REALLY looking forward to you coming out with a tug boat kit!!! Heard Joe D's are really good. Make the kit Ben. Please make the kit. John
Robert, Did you fix the out of gauge track on the bridge yet? The track closest to the front on the left edge.
Yes, I peeled up all the rails, and re-gauged them, then put the guard rails back, but left more gap for out of gauge equipment to pass through. That's just one of the benefits of having a removable bridge... easy access to the rails!
Robert, the bridges look fantastic! Not mention the water. It has a very realistic dark motionless feel to it. Well done!
Well here is the plan: Currently I stopped working on the Waterfront / Old Sawmill side, and am working on the Modern Sawmill side. Here is the main mill building without roof 2 weeks ago: Today I have the interior lighted, and stuff to see in all the windows. Also I installed 2 speakers, a Left and Right channel, for the sound MP3 player. Added electronics to the underside, including a 1amp USB bus, and 2 MP3 players. Roofs are on, and now I am working on detailing the roofs with lots of industrial stuff: It's a 42" long backdrop style structure so far. After i get done with it I will start on the chip loading section. I only have 7 weeks left to prepare for the NTS!
Robert great stuff! I wondered what was up with these models. What type of track did you use on this side? I know you used to be a fan of peco.
I used MTL flex, and Peter Wright turnouts on both sides. I made more roof progress today: Here is the sawmill style I am trying to capture, it's the PALCO mill in Scotia. I like the looks of this mill better than the Boise Cascade mill I originally wanted to do, so I decided to just use modelers license and paint it up as a Boise Cascade mill :
Robert, Looks great. I really like the idea of the Old vs. Modern back to back on the same module. Dan S.
Robert, the module is amazing! Big industry in Z at it's best! What a unique shape for a module. I can't wait to see it in person! Rob
