Henrik, If you'r a good student, you'll get a good profession and with a good profession you earn a lot of money that you can spend on Z. BTW I'm glad you like the Building.
Looking good Henrik. That is the way to plan it, lay it out, adjust a little here and there, then cut the base.
Hey, you are now on the way to be another ZMOD'er Henrik. Did you get the ZMOD jig/mal from me yet? I have one left that you at least can borrow from me.
that is great! i give you a call when i start the trackwork... My goal is to start the trackwork about 1-2 months from now
I guess that moust of the märklin dealers can get you a 5-pole engine if they order it specificly. I have been looking for gear's over 6 months now, so good luck!
Here is a source for motors. If you know the part no. for the gears then they should be able to special order them if available, not all parts are. http://www.ajckids.com/TRAINS/result.asp?scale=Z&manufacturer=Marklin&cat=par Any Authorized Marklin dealer should be able to order parts for you. I look forward to seeing your new layout being build Henrik. Steve F
I have never heard of a Marklin dealer, so would have no idea of how to get any part numbers for gears or motors. I have toyed with an idea to motorize some HO trucks, but motors and gears would be the problem. Thanks anyway.
New update Ok, i have got some benchwork done. Here is my end module: As you can see there wil be a high mountain. And the point about this module is that you get the feeling of a train riding high up in the mountain in an Donner pass looking scene. this module will also suit the controll board of the layout, that is the reason for the rectangular holes in the front and in the back. Because when i have the modules home, the back will fit into a corner so the controllboard will be in the front. But when i am on shows i want the controllboard in the back, so i just place something to cover the hole in front and move the controll's to the back. Next step is to paint the modules black, and get some leg's it can rest on.
Looks good Henrik, I like the idea for having a controller board that goes both to the front and the back so you can run at shows too. This one will be real nice!
Sommerfeld's is just 10 minutes from Marklin USA in Wisconsin. 262 783-7797 www.sommerfelds.com (note: their website is down, under reconstruction)
today i finished 2 modules. I planned to finish them all but i got a bit short on the plywood. But i guess i'll be finished by the end of the week! I can soon start to handlay track, i calculated that the track's will cost me 400$ But it is definetively worth it! Here is a cuick photo of the finished modules!
It don't seem like it... of course the main reason it is expensive for me is that i have to pay customs and 25% tax for it
Henrik, is that your bed in the middle? You get enough track to go around the room, you can go to sleep listening to the trains rolling thru the countryside!
